THE SITUATION – Thalia was running a singles event centered around improv and wanted more exposure.
WHAT I DID – I worked with Thalia to get her message down, focusing on why this type of singles event was different than online dating. I helped her to bring in stats and story-telling. I took her Key points and developed a theme and angle in which to tell this story. I also created customized and timed-out interview questions and answers for her to answer. This helped her stay calm and in control and express the most relevant details in easy-to-understand sound-bites. To give her more confidence, I worked with Thalia on her presentation skills, paying close attention to her vocal variety, breathing, and body language. We also sharpened her image with wardrobe and makeup.

To devise a compelling hook and angle for the interview and keep her in control, I took her points and created customized and timed-out interview questions and answers for Crystal-Marie. Then, I taught her how to give in easy-to-understand sound-bites that effectively got her message across without her sounding salesy. I also taught her how to use her and her client’s experiences as stories. We integrated those stories, statistics, and facts into her answers to strengthen her powerful message and voice – making her more credible and persuasive. We also worked on her presentation and performance skills, using vocal, breathing, improv, and body-language techniques. The we sharpened her image with wardrobe and professional makeup. In addition to taking professional head shots, we also filmed a 1-minute promo video about her business that I scripted for her, as well as taught her how to deliver using a teleprompter.
